Two of the seven may not let you open a laptop at all
Tinta y Café is documented as allowing no laptops and offering no wifi, and Maman's chain policy bans laptops (laptops are not allowed at this time), with weekend bans reported at other locations. Neither restriction was mentioned in the chat, and the Miami-specific policy at Maman is unconfirmed. They are still good cafés. They are just not places to outline. Verify before you drive over.

Pura Vida
1100 Stanford Dr, by Toppel Career Center. Sam (2L): “I fear I frequent the Pura Vida on campus too much.” Roughly 9am–4pm.
Vicky’s Café
In the food court next to the law school. Named the best Cuban coffee within walking distance, ahead of the chains.
Starbucks & Peet’s
Both on campus. The reliable, unexciting option.
The bricks pop-up
A coffee stand runs on the bricks during the week; a matcha/coffee truck rotates through too.
King’s cafecito
The law school IT guy walks the library handing out shots of Cuban coffee, most days. Free, and apparently the best perk in the building.
The law library
Sam’s read on the section: “I feel like most people also study at home instead of the law library.” Still the only guaranteed-silent option.
